GIMP - GNU Image ManipulationProgram - Free Graphics Software

For those of you that are using XSitePro, I would imagine you are very Internet savvy...after all you are using XSitePro2. I really don't do a lot of very technical things with XSitepro2 myself. That's why I bought it, to limit what I have to do when setting up sites. For those power users, I'm sure you've heard or, and probably have GIMP...so you're excused. :)

Having said that, there is one area (at least) in which you will need another program. If you're not worried about decent graphics, I guess you could get away with just downloading free images or using the XSitePro2 clipart images only.

If you do opt for better graphic images, I would definitely go download GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program). It's a totally free piece of awesome software that does nearly everything that PhotoShop does in virtually the same way. It edit PS files also.

There's plenty of GIMP tutorials available also. You can go to gimp.org/tutorials, gimp-tutorials.net or gimp-tutorials.com to start. Once you get used to how layers works, it becomes a little easier to work with GIMP. I still don't do a lot of technical work with it, but it does come in handy to at least be familiar with the program.

Website Authoring Software

If you haven't heard of XSitePro web development software, you're about to find the answer to all of your web design headaches.

With the state of software currently, there's no reason to learn the tedious, somewhat mind-numbing (for me at least) tasks of manually coding using HTML If you choose to do it the hard way, you'd better have an understanding of javascript, CSS, php and the other specifics of setting up a good quality, functional website. At least if you want to do the many things that are possible.

I truly admire the programmers that can do it all, but it's just not something I choose to do. Don't get me wrong, I do know some HTML and CSS, but when it comes time to put up a new money-making (hopefully) site, I always just click on XSitePro, now in version 2, and I'm ready to go. Here's some of the many XSitePro2 features.

This is a new blog, kind of obvious I guess since this is my first post. If you want a little more information, heard over to my XSitePro Squidoo lens. I cover quite a bit generally, but there's also links to testimonials, a download for all the features offered, a Webinar and many other options to get informaed on this fantastic program.

As you can tell, I'm pretty excited about the XSitePro2 web development software. I own it and use it. I know how good it is.
